Greener Bay Compost recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of the users of this website (https://www.gbcompost.com) and of our mobile applications (collectively, the “Internet Services”). Greener Bay Compost utilizes third party vendors in connection with certain services we provide. This Privacy Policy summarizes the policies of those third parties, as well as Greener Bay Compost’s policy. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” may, as the circumstances dictate, include any third-party Greener Bay Compost utilizes to provide the Internet Services.

This privacy policy applies to each natural person (“you” or “your”) using our Internet Services, as well as any interactions you may have directly with us, including reporting a problem or providing feedback to us.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our Internet Services. There are two categories of information we collect: information you give to us and information we collect automatically when you use our Internet Services. By providing information to us and using our Internet Services, you consent to our processing of your personal information as set forth in this policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by cancelling your use of our Internet Services or by writing to us – see Accessing, Updating, Deleting or Correcting Your Information below.

We also maintain information (including service and billing addresses and other contact information) that is supplied by you in connection with Compost Pickup Services and/or products we provide to you. Such information may be maintained independent of our Internet Services but, by setting up an account utilizing our Internet Services, your Internet Services account may be linked with that other data maintained by us.

Information You Give to Us

Some of our Internet Services require you to provide information directly to us. The information we collect depends on which Internet Services you use:

Information Collected when you subscribe to our Compost Pickup Services: In order to provide you with Compost Pickup Services at your location, we require that you provide us your name, phone number, complete compost pickup address, and email, as well as credit and/or debit card information, including the cardholder’s name, credit and/or debit card number, expiration date, and CVC code. Pursuant to our provision of said Services to you, we may also request your permission to send you emails and/or SMS or MMS text messages to help remind you to set our buckets outside for us on your scheduled Bucket Swap/Compost Pickup days.

By signing up for our Services and/or agreeing to receive reminder emails and/or text messages from us, you are agreeing that we are legally allowed to utilize any contact information you have provided us to facilitate said Services and send such reminders, until such time as  you may take leave of our Services and/or request that we no longer send you said reminders.

Please note that to ensure any and all payments you may make to us, for the purpose of purchasing services and/or products from us, are safe and secure, we utilize the services of a third party payment processor, Stripe, to bill, invoice, or otherwise charge you, whether on a one-time or recurring basis, for our services and/or products.

Stripe is a global online payment processor that is trusted by thousands of businesses across the globe. Stripe enables organizations, such as Greener Bay Compost, to accept credit and debit card payments online directly into its bank account(s) in exchange for its services and/or products.

Please know that all transactions done through Stripe are SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protected. This means your information is securely transmitted during the processing of all payments through them. Furthermore, Stripe is what is known as a “PCI Service Provider Level 1,” which means they maintain the highest grade of payment processing security possible, so you can rest assured that your information is safe and secure with them. Finally, all credit and/or debit card numbers are encrypted and safely stored in Stripe‘s state of the art data-center. This ensures both the security and integrity of your information.

If you have any questions about Stripe in particular, we encourage you to Contact Us or email Stripe directly at: . Alternatively, you can view Stripe’s own Privacy Policy, if you so desire, at https://stripe.com/privacy-center/legal.

Information Collected when you sign up for Email or SMS/MMS Text Message Reminders: When you sign up for any reminders with us, such as with regards to the Bucket Swaps/Compost Pickups we perform as part of our Compost Pickup Services, we collect contact information that is required to send you those said reminders. This may include your name, email, phone number, and/or other contact information, depending on the reminder method(s) available and selected.

Information Collected when you Contact Us using the Contact Forms on this Website: If you use our Internet Services, specifically any of the Contact Forms found anywhere on this website, we will ask for your name, email, the subject of your comment/message to us, and for you to free-form a comment or message to us that explains your reason(s) for contacting us. This information may be used by us to respond to you, assuming your comment/message warrants a response.
