It’s actually very simple!
STEP ONE | STEP TWO | STEP THREE | STEP FOUR |
We drop off a clean, Food Safe, five gallon bucket (with lid) in a safe, easily accessible area of your property, such as on your front step/porch/patio, in front of your garage, or at the end of a walkway leading to your driveway. | You remove the lid from your bucket, revealing the sawdust, wood shavings, etc. at the bottom of your bucket. | You add any organic waste (which you’d normally toss in the trash) found on our List of Acceptable and Not Acceptable Materials, into your bucket, over the course of a week or two (depending on which Plan of ours you subscribe to). | You place your full bucket, with the lid firmly on top, in a safe, easily accessible area of your property, such as on your front step/porch/patio, in front of your garage, or at the end of a walkway leading to your driveway, prior to your scheduled Bucket Swap/Compost Pickup date/time. |

STEP FIVE | STEP SIX | STEP SEVEN |
We pick up your full bucket, as scheduled, in exchange for a new, clean, Food Safe, five gallon bucket. | We add your organic waste to our compost piles, where they will be mixed with other organic waste and turned every week or so, in a process known as “hot composting.” | These piles, over the course of several months, produce a nutrient-dense soil amendment known as “compost,” for use in local gardens, flower beds, and agricultural operations. |
