What you are paying for:

✅ Your logo on the front page of our website, so everyone knows your business/organization has made waste reduction/sustainability a major priority, by partnering with Greener Bay Compost.

✅ Promotion of your business/organization’s partnership with us on our website and social media accounts, including our Facebook and Instagram pages, both of which boast thousands of sustainability-minded followers from around the world.

✅ Weekly updates to our Leaderboard, which publicly tracks how many pounds of food scraps and associated organics our Commercial subscribers have diverted from our local landfills with us, so that this information may be shared via social media, in newsletters, at conferences/public events, and/or through other corporate/business updates, for public relations/marketing purposes.

✅ Clean, food-safe, and individually-numbered five gallon buckets (which can fit over 40 pounds of food scraps and associated organics each), with BPI-certified compostable liners inside, and “easy peel” lids, branded with Greener Bay Compost logos, plus convenient, paper copies of our List of Acceptable and Not Acceptable Materials for Composting, delivered to your business/organization location.

✅ Your full/semi-full buckets swapped out for new, clean buckets once per week, on Tuesdays, in a courteous, consistent, reliable fashion.

✅ The contents of your buckets screened, by hand, by Greener Bay Compost staff, for contamination (such as produce stickers, plastic, glass, metal, and other materials we consider Not Acceptable).

✅ Individualized education/feedback from us, via text message and/or email, with regard to any contaminants we may find in your buckets and what you and your staff/employees can do to help keep our compost clean/safe and contaminant-free.

✅ Your used buckets washed by us, so you don’t need to deal with how smelly, dirty, moldy, or disgusting they may become, or the hassle/difficulty/expense of washing them yourself.

✅ Guaranteed composting (as opposed to landfilling, or anaerobic digestion) of the Acceptable materials contained in your buckets (a hard, dirty, sometimes smelly, and occasionally dangerous 4-6 month process), at our food-waste-focused, commercial compost facility, which is the only facility of its kind in Northeastern Wisconsin.

✅ The ability to compost not only common compostables with us, such as fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, and egg shells, but materials the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and your local Municipality do not recommend composting at home as well, including, but not limited to, cooked and cured meats, soft and solid dairy (cheese, yogurt, etc.), bones, leftovers, and certain certified compostable products that are only compostable at facilities like ours.

✅ The privilege of knowing that you are preventing food waste from ending up in our local landfills (where it would produce methane, a toxic greenhouse gas, up to 30%+ more potent than carbon dioxide), helping us create a valuable soil amendment that will help your community grow more healthy, happy plants and more nutritious food, and helping us delay the need to build yet another landfill in Northeastern Wisconsin (which would come at great expense to everyone who lives here).

✅ The privilege of knowing that you are helping us create compost that is extremely nutritious, better than any compost that could be produced by any single household alone, and far superior to the “free” and/or cheap “composts” available elsewhere (including the heavily contaminated/plastic-filled “compost” found at most Municipal yard waste sites and the bagged “compost” from most “big box stores,” which is often full of sand, large chunks of wood/mulch, and inorganic matter and/or made from inferior feedstocks, such as manure, “biosolids”/sewage sludge, and/or anaerobic digestate).

✅ Special, subscriber-only pricing on any nutrient-rich, contaminant-free compost (1’4″ Screened or Unscreened) you may purchase directly from us at www.GBCompost.com/Compost, which represents the best pricing we offer anyone on our products.

✅ The opportunity to participate in occasional giveaways we may do or to take advantage of limited-time/seasonal offers we may make on our compost from time to time, for subscribers only.

✅ A 50%+ reduction in the amount of trash your business/organization produces, far less smelly trash bins/dumpsters, and potential savings on trash bags and/or other waste disposal services.

✅ Increased awareness as to how food waste occurs in your business/organization, which may lead to changes in purchasing or food preparation/storage, which could save you significant amounts of money on food over time.

✅ The opportunity to “lead by example,” be the change you want to see in your community, and be an amazing role model to other businesses and organizations, with regard to being less wasteful, more sustainable, and wonderful stewards of our planet.

✅ The privilege of knowing that you are supporting and enabling the existence of the only Community Composting operation in your area and the only compost facility of its kind in Northeastern Wisconsin, not only for your business/organization, but for your everyone else in your community, including other businesses and organizations, as well as future generations of Wisconsinites, who would maybe like to compost on their own but cannot, due in many cases to age, disability, or other limiting factors.

✅ Convenient, automated, monthly billing, with a paid invoice emailed to you each month, for your records.

✅ Five-star customer service, including clear communication and extraordinary responsiveness, including on weekends.

✅ The ability to update/change your payment method on file with us on your own/online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by visiting our Manage my Compost Pickup Service Subscription page.

✅ The opportunity to add extra buckets to your subscription with us at any time, by simply contacting us (additional monthly charges will apply), if you find that the buckets you are subscribed for are not enough to contain the amount of food scraps and associated organics your business/organization produces every week, or you need an extra bucket (or several) for one-off events, such as parties, or on a temporary/seasonal basis.

✅ The right to cancel your service with us at any time, either temporarily or permanently, by simply contacting us to make arrangements for a “Final Compost Pickup” and returning our bucket(s)/lid(s) to us in acceptable condition.
